Operations Director (Botswana & Zambia)

 

An International Safari company with offices based in Maun is looking for an Operations Director for our Botswana and Zambia Operations.

Directly reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will manage all operational aspects of the company’s operations and the growth and profitability of the organization in both Botswana & Zambia.

Qualifications and background experience must include:

• Tertiary qualifications either in the business or hospitality fields is essential
• Minimum 25 years’ experience to multi-unit management is a prerequisite for the position of Operations Director.
• Minimum 15 years’ overall management experience in both 4 & 5 star luxury hotels and lodges with an excellent working knowledge of operations both in back and front of house.
• Relevant experience in Reserve / Wildlife management will be an added advantage.
• Sound working knowledge of hotel financial accounting and operational / CAPEX budgets essential.
• Relevant experience in logistical management, cost control systems and human resource management & trade unions, international tourism travel in both Botswana and Zambia is essential.
• Must be able to travel internationally on a regular basis for long periods of time.
• Exceptional computer literacy and driver’s license is essential.
