Action Africa Help Zambia (AAHZ) has partnered with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to support refugees and former refugees in Zambia.
As part of that effort, AAHZ is seeking to recruit well qualified, experienced and innovative individuals to fill the position of Storekeeper at Meheba and Mantapala refugee settlements in Kalumbila and Nchelenge districts, respectively, where vacancies have been created.

Term: Three (3) Months Fixed Contract (April to June 2022)
Location: Meheba/Kalumbila, and Mantapala/Nchelenge
Job Purpose
The Storekeeper’s role is to receive, stack, and issue out Core Relief Items (CRIs) and other Non-Food Items (NFIs) such as auto spares at the warehouse, in accordance with the UNHCR Warehouse Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Key Responsibilities
- To supervise the loading and offloading of goods at the warehouse
- To prepare and update stack/bin cards, stock cards and other warehouse transaction records
- To ensure that Goods Receiving Notes and Waybills are raised whenever goods are received and issued, respectively, at the warehouse
- Responsible for the accuracy of warehouse transaction records including identification of discrepancies, to ensure immediate and accurate reporting on commodity movements in line with the corporate requirements
- To prepare weekly CRIs stock reports, and any other warehouse activity reports, as may be directed by superiors
- To maintains a safe and healthy work environment
- Any other work that may be assigned by superiors
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent qualification
- Certificate or Diploma in Stores Management, or any other related field,
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a Humanitarian Environment
Skills and Attributes Needed
- Knowledge of inventory management
- Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving
- Computer literate: Email, MS Word, MS Excel
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
