Reports to Human Resource and Administration Manager

Job Purpose

The role of the Human Resources and Administration Officer is to assist with the coordination of the Human Resources and Administration functions in the Project to facilitate the effective execution of Project deliverables.

Duties include the following:-

  1. Facilitating and participating in the selection and recruitment of
    human resources in conjunction with line departments,
    ii. Ensuring that performance appraisals are carried out accordingly by
    all employees,
    iii. Planning and forecasting human resources in relation to present and
    future needs,
    iv. Enforcement of disciplinary and grievance procedure to create a fair
    and just working environment,
    v. Ensuring that all payroll payments are sent to Finance department in
    good time and that the payments are correctly computed,
    vi. Ensures regular supply of clean water and strict observance of
    sanitation standards to create a conducive work environment,
    vii Undertakes timely provision of office space to Project staff to
    appropriately accommodate everyone,
    viii. Undertakes timely provision and maintenance of Project office
    equipment to enhance utilization of equipment,
    ix. Effectively undertakes the provision and maintenance of the Project
    transport system to enhance mobility of officers and equipment,
    x. Undertakes timely payment of utility bills to ensure smooth
    operations of the Project and
    xi. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualification



  1. Secondary Education
    Full Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
    ii. Minimum Academic/Professional Qualification Minimum Diploma in Human
    Resource Management, Public Administration or an equivalent
    Professional Qualification.
    iii. Minimum Relevant pre-job Experience Minimum 3 years’ work experience
    in a Human Resource and Administration position
  2. Other skills
    a. Ability to communicate fluently in English
    b. Computer literate
    c. Good interpersonal relations
    d. Able to generate reports
    e. Must have a valid driver’s license

Terms of Contract: 3 years renewable subject to performance
