Job Title: Nurse
Accountabilities
- Diagnose and treat children’s minor ailments
- Closely monitor the growth and progress of the children and be able to identify those with special needs.
- Recommendation of specialized care that could be needed for a particular child.
- Devise individual developmental plans for each child with focus on child functional development.
- Ensure that children’s environment is at all times clean.
- Maintain and update inventory in the nurseries.
- Work with the Social Services Department in preparing the children and their foster/adoptive/biological families for discharge/reintegration.
- Carry out any other duties as assigned by your Supervisor.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery from a reputable Nursing School
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Registered Nurse with Pediatric Nursing will be an added advantage
- At least two years’ work experience in nursing
Skills
- Good clinical practice
- Good medicine management
- Able to prepare nursing care plans for children
- Driving skill will be an added advantage
